What was your inspiration?
Both my sons and daughter-in -laws have two cats each, I am making these for the kitties for Christmas...going to fill them up with some hand made toys...and treats!
What are you most proud of?
I had a fabric panel with a cat print on it,...I cut them out, then appliqued the cats on aida cloth, cross-stitched "treats" underneath the cat applique.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
This was a fun easy project to make...give it a try! On the mouse print bag I had sewn the front top & middle section together when I realised my mice were upside down...lol ...if your print goes in one direction like this one does...you might want to double-check before sewing together. To make it easier, I used a purchased silky cord for the drawstrings...I like how it looks on these bags! The metal beads are from a bottle of liquor...lol you just never know where you'll find reusable items!
