What was your inspiration?

GETTING DOWN TO BUSINESS:
I took my dog Fred to the doctor this week. While I was there I sold a Kindle tote to the vet. I was wearing a great example that caught her eye--my everyday Kindle Tote that I sometimes use for a purse (see photo).

Lesson Learned: Don't save all of your fancy bags and totes for your shop--be sure to wear your very finest creations every time you take a stroll or run an errand. Put several business cards inside all of your creations. You never know when or where you'll inspire someone to buy your beautiful work. When a client receives their bag--they'll have a couple of your business cards on hand to give to others who admire you work.

What are you most proud of?

Added decorative stitches to the carrying strap as well as the front pocket embroidery design. She liked the decorative stitches on the Kindle tote I was wearing.

I paid attention to the client's request--as she couldn't decide if she wanted a body strap, or a wristlet strap. So, I made sure she had both, by adding clip on/off lobster claw clasps and o rings. The wristlet connector is new to me--I love it--it adds function and beauty.

Making colorful polymer beads for zipper pulls is always fun.

Hi There Georgy Girl. The wristlet connector is from http://stores.ebay.com/i-Craft-For-Less. Fits a 1 inch strap. Connector has an open jaw with 2 teeth. the strap is position inside the jaw, and a hammer crimps the connector to secure the strap. The connector and key ring is a set. I bought 50 sets for around $15.00 plus $5 for shipping. The swivel clasps I buy at Hancock Fabric, 2 in a package for under $3.00.
