Share a little about the materials, processes and techniques used to create this cake: Rice Krispies treats recipe for the dragon, fondant for the stripes, modeling chocolate for the wings, candy speckled eggs, green sprinkles (fondettes) and candy corn.
What are you most proud of? My grandson really loved the movie "How To Train Your Dragon" at the time I made this cake. I was happy to be able to add to the theme of his party with this cake.
What advice would you give someone starting this project? I used Rice Krispies Treats for a lighter-weighing dragon so it wouldn't have to be supported by dowels. The wings were the hardest part because they would easily break. Make them the shape you want and have them dry over a round form (cover a partially-used roll of paper towels with parchment paper for a good form). I added toothpicks to the wings while they were still pliable for added strength.
