What was your inspiration?
My son wanted me to make him a costume to wear to a Comic Conference which is happening this weekend. I started it months ago because I didn't know how I would go about it.
No pattern only a picture of the cartoon character from the internet!!! What do they think we are????
Well I am happy with the outcome - he is too! He went off this morning to catch the train - dressed up as in the photo!!!!
Haven't heard anything yet whether he got there in one piece! Love to be a fly on the wall.
What are you most proud of?
My son was so pleased with it that he took photos of it and showed his Facebook friends!! That is ENORMOUS praise!
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
What have you got to lose? Go for it. Give yourself plenty of time. Measure the wearer and make a paper pattern first.
