Instructions

I am making an afghan for parents in same pattern and colors. Baby's room will be decorated with Dr. Suess.

Difficulty:

Category: Crocheting

Type of item: Functional

For: Boys

Style: Whimsical

Materials

Caron Simply Soft yarn in white, red & black, "G" crochet hook, tapestry needle.

What was your inspiration?

I asked my grandson to tell me if the baby will be a boy or girl. When he said boy, I said, ok, I will make it blue and white. He told me red and white to go with his room. He wants his to be red and black. I decided to make both afghans using red, white and black. I usually do not tell anyone what I am making. They find out when they open it. I have made several now and they could figure it out if they thought about it. They think I am just asking out of curiosity.

What are you most proud of?

I think it turned out great. My grandson and my daughter both want a sneak preview but they are not going to get one.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

This is a very easy pattern and can be made using any pattern, even granny squares.
