What are you most proud of? I think it turned out great. My grandson and my daughter both want a sneak preview but they are not going to get one.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? This is a very easy pattern and can be made using any pattern, even granny squares.

these are not granny squares? Sorry, I'm new at crocheting and this looks like something I might be able to do. But all I really know how to do is granny squares lol

Karen, It is close to a granny square. I made a bigger afghan for his parents using the same pattern, just added a row. I will find the pattern for you. Email me at and put Baylor's afghan in the subject line. His mother told me he slept with his afghan.

I will not be home tomorrow and if it too late when the baby shower is over, I will have to spend the night. I can't see to drive at night.

Did I send you this pattern?

Pat, what method did you use to join the squares?

I went around each sq. with black and using black yarn and a tapestry needle I whipped stitched them together.

I found a video on Youtube called "join as you go" and joined them that way. It looks a lot like what you did!
