What materials did you use? Downton Abbey Fabric Line

Working on my quilt and have a question about border 1 and 2. The diamond block has 2 different triangles. What is the placement? Opposite or side by side? The picture is hard for me to see.

I found my answer. ..why would you not put the diagram with the directions or at least put the direvtions in order of working. .. why border 7 before the first border is added. That is the teacher in me. Order ...I would change that part.

I saw you found your answer. I'm an educator too and that also caused me a little problem.

Down load pattern English medallion quilt

01/20/2015 Flag

If you want me to down load the pattern I will need an e-mail address to send it too. Also I probably won't get it done until the first of February as I am leaving for a conference and will be gone all next week.

What kind of binding was used on the Downtown Abbey Quilt Kit?

01/22/2015 Flag

I actually don't have it bound yet, but I am planning on sewing my left over fabric together then cut it for the binding. That will pull all the fabrics together.

I am still working on my quilt. I am making the last three borders. Then I'll be able to see what is left for the hst to make the diamond effect. That part is not real clear for me. Any hints?

02/01/2015 Flag

I just started by cutting fabric into hst, then I just laid those triangles out like a puzzle. If I needed more of a particular fabric then I would cut another triangle or if I couldn't match fabric, then I tossed the triangle. No real scientific way of laying it out. More trial and error. Sorry I'm not more help.
