What are you most proud of? Always, proud that I got started. If it is in my mind, at some point...I need to do it. Something NEW I am adding to this piece as I work on it, is the threads that I left in place to act as sides of the trees. I first cut them off and then all of a sudden I was putting them back because they look like the sides of the trees and give them dimension. So I was sewing on the edging of the trees stopped lifted my needle and without cutting, moved it down the tree and then inserted the needle again and began working on the edging again. This extra piece of thread acts like the line on the side of the tree, I think it is neat.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Start slow and try things out, take pictures and get other peoples opinions. Don;t be too quick to complete the piece.

This is gorgeous! With the depth perception, I could feel myself standing among the trees.

Wow! I love what you have done. I don't have that type of vision to be able to do something like this and I sure wish I did.

You folks all think I have been doing this a long time and it just is not true...All I can say is the more you do it the better you get and your decisions come easier. All that you have to do is jump in...head first...I model things off of paintings that I saw or a picture in a magazine. I usually get started by being inspired by someone else. Thanks for all your support and kind comments!!!

Very striking image! Thank you for posting the detail images too! It's great that you can transpose images you are inspired by into your own art pieces!!!
