What are you most proud of? The fact that it is all done without any synthetic chemicals. It is definitely a labor of love, but we have really made gardening a part of our lifestyle, so it really isn't a burden. I'm not gonna lie, it IS back breaking at times, especially when we do mass plantings, or an occasional all day weeding, but in a way, that makes me even more proud of our little garden.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Well, start small and add on a little each year. We started this garden 7 years ago, and we have gradually added on and have improved our skill level while drastically improving the quality of our soil. We compost, so that goes back into the soil, and we add some kind of organic mulch each year that adds to the organic matter of our soil. And just do what looks good to you. A vegetable garden doesn't have to be rowed.

Lovely...wish my garden was not such a long walk out back.
