I suppose you can make buttercream ruffles but it won't look quite the same

You will need the dove of peace and the reverse dove patchwork cutters. I got mine from eBay.

For the doves I used two patchwork cutters and for the texture I used a daisy patchwork cutter and a cocktail stick.
