Double Star BOM August #2

Learn It

This project was made as part of a Craftsy course:
Craftsy Block of the Month 2012 »

Difficulty:

Category: Quilting

Type of item: Functional

For: Home

Style: Traditional, Classic

Materials

Bits and pieces left from other projects (mainly Fabric Freedom's "Pure Velvet" range).

What was your inspiration?

Amy Gibson's Block of the Month Course 2012

What are you most proud of?

The fact that the flying geese came out more or less okay. This was much easier for me than the first August block, thank goodness, and I didn't need to unpick it at all. It might not be perfect, but I'm quite happy with it.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Flying geese are easier than they look and there are several ways of making them. Amy demonstrates a very good method, and it's quite easy to be acceptably accurate with it.

Thank you - it didn't give me the frustration that the other August one did!
