What was your inspiration?
I'd like to show that many items can be made working with one thread at a time on two straight needles with no seams. I've been doing this since 1963 and yet here it is almost 2012 and I can't seem to find any patterns other than hats and scarves using this method.
What are you most proud of?
That I have the nerve to model this sweater lol
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
This is not hard but it does take a little getting used to. A simpler pattern might be the way to go, only because there are a lot of stitches to contend with in the first part of this pattern. There really is nothing difficult about the method. I am going to make a tiny version of this sweater so that if someone would like to learn they can learn everything they need to know for the big sweater but on a small scale.
