What materials did you use? I knit this hat with yarn that I spun for this project. The pink/purple is some that I dyed. It is 100% wool.
What are you most proud of? I originally designed this as a headband that would fit, but then kept going and made a hat. Because it is all double, it is incredible warm (I wore it today in -30C temps and was toasty warm).
What advice would you give someone starting this project? I cast on 84 pairs for this hat instead of the 111 for the Duvino Headband, and it was a much better size (and I have a big head). It is easy to design for double knitting, you just need graph paper. Any stranded pattern would work too and no floats. A double layer is wonderful too. I think I am hooked on double knitting. The class was wonderful!
