Instructions

I used the instructions for 90 blocks. It came out to be 70"x80"... whew!

I got it quilted through Missouri Star Quilt Co. using the Drop of Paisley pattern.

Difficulty:

Category: Quilting

Type of item: Functional

For: Unisex

Style: Classic, Traditional, Outdoorsy

Materials

green and white batiks (three styles of each), black solid backing and ric-rac embellishment on binding

What was your inspiration?

I was just searching through the free quilt patterns on About and thought this one would turn out neat looking. And it does... but man, was it rough! lots of 2"-squares = a lot of sewing, and ironing.

What are you most proud of?

That I finally managed to finish it! and that I nested all those little seams, lol.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

This is a pretty easy pattern, but it's very tedious. Also, you can turn each block upside-down and it will look the same, but turning any one block 90 degrees will make it look different, so you have to be careful when you're sewing them into rows!
