What was your inspiration?

A long time ago I received a "Quilter's Strip Ticket" (widely available online) as a stocking stuffer, but I put it aside because it looked a bit fussy and, after all, it was for quilters and I don't quilt. I pulled it out again after looking at some beautiful scraps I just couldn't bear to part with. Less than an hour later my funny little scrap of jacquard is 6' of super-nice double-fold bias tape I can use to finish or decorate anything I want!

What are you most proud of?

Taking the next step and turning the bias strip into double-fold tape.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

It's *so* easy, and looks so much classier than boring packaged bias-fold tape that you should consider it for anything you are making and not just for repurposing scraps. Also, I really recommend the Strip Ticket -- the instructions are clear and it gives tables for widths ranging from 1" to 7."

Nice! I learned how to make bias tape from this blogger: http://www.danamadeit.com/2008/07/technique-understanding-bias-and-making-bias-tape.html. I bought a few Clover bias tape makers in different sizes and I love them.

ZOMG! I had no idea such a thing existed. I am getting them instantly. It really wasn't that hard to do by hand, but this will speed things up incredibly. Thank you!!!

I have so many things I would like to add bias to but I have never done as I am scared to mess up my garment. Maybe I should check out the Strip Ticket cause making it is half of my concern. Thanks for the recommendation.

Definitely try it. It's amazingly easy to follow the directions and I was thrilled with the result.
