Thread Art »

Instructions

Definitely take the class!

Category: Quilting

Type of item: Home Decor

For: Other

Style: Cute, Funky, Casual, Traditional

Materials

Cotton blend fabric, rayon thread, colored pencils (Crayola!)

What was your inspiration?

The flower picture was posted on a facebook page. Since this was my first and personal project, I thought that it was a good choice - nice crisp lines in the petals, and great colors.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

I'm not sure if crayola are the best pencils to use. I did use a prismacolor blender, and it worked ok, but I had trouble laying down the colors and getting the blender to move them. I may pick up a few prismacolors to see if it's the pencils or the fabric.

Love the way you have coloured your flower and the piece of fabric on the left side of your project.
