What materials did you use? paper and pen, self-cut stencils/templates...left over from a series of mandala drawings I did for a Facebook amusement

What are you most proud of? I can now translate this pile of papers into quilt blocks! Whoo-hoooo!

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Keep drawing! You never know when something is going to hit you over the head with the possibilities!

These are simply fabulous!!! I'm looking at two linen tops that are on my design wall that are screaming for something just like this. Thank you for your inspirations and your talents...

Love to draw....I dream this stuff at night! Thank you! Love your baby quilt, btw, and signed up for the Negative space class based on your photos!

absolutely welcome! I have been drawing these for such a long time, and am half-way through a 14" block with dragonflies as the central motif...eyes getting tired, though, and will give it a rest for a couple hours...will post tomorrow. Almost ready for baby quilt size! Yay! I did a queen size whole cloth quilt with my own designs by hand, for #3 daughter's wedding present,, but this whole experience is such a synthesis of my skill sets, a wonderful wonderful time-standing-still in the flow event. Hence, even with glasses and good light, tired eyes. Love design, and learning to love my machine as much! Thank you for your encouragement!

I love mandalas, but I'm having trouble teaching myself to draw them. I do better in the computer (CorelDraw), but some things just have to be drawn, you know? Would you mind sharing your basic sequence for how you draw yours? Everything is so even and harmonious! I want to be able to draw my own well....so I don't have to rely on my (large) collection of Dover images. :)
