Handspun wool from Ireland.
What was your inspiration?
I used a commercial pattern for inspiration and to understand how saddle shoulders are constructed but the stitch choice, yarn and other details were my own.
What are you most proud of?
The buttonband is a thing of beauty - that took 5 tries to get "just right".
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
You know when someone asks you to knit for them and they wear a standard size so you don't need to measure them. Don't believe it. Listen to your inner voice, grab that tape measure or borrow a piece they love to measure later.
