What was your source for this sewing project? Improvisational

What materials did you use? Coarse Upholstery Fabric (brown with turquoise and red weave), Koi gold fish theme cotton print for purse lining and pockets, Red Decorative Machine Feather Stitch on carrying strap, Heart with Wings Embroidery Design. Red Zipper. 2 Antique Gold D Rings to attach carrying strap.

What are you most proud of? I'm experimenting with embroidery designs on this type of coarse upholstery fabric. It stitches out beautifully. BUT--remember to change your embroidery machine needle often when embroidering heavy fabric like this one. I change out needle every other project. The reason is simple--a dull needle is like asking for a disaster. The fabric and a half stitched embroidery design can get stuck, embedded, and ruined. A new needle is cheaper than throwing out your project.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? OOPS: I bought a red heart charm, then bought the heart/wing embroidery design. Yes, they could have gone together quite well (see construction photo), but I made a miss-step matching up reds (zipper color, embroidery thread color, didn't match red heart charm).

I added handmade polymer clay beads on this purse. See photo attached.
