What was your inspiration?
I wanted a dress with fullness suitable for a bed doll.
What are you most proud of?
The colours work well together.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
The fullness of skirt and sleeves means this isn't a quick project, but worth it in the end. I wouldn't use this pattern for a baby because of the embellishments (easily swallowed) and the open, lacy stitches (little toes could easily get caught up) and the bulkiness of the skirt. This is modelled on a 24" doll.
Hi Cookie I made up the pattern by choosing the bodice from a commercial pattern then choosing an appropriate stitch pattern. I have now written the skirt pattern and posted it on the page.
