What was your inspiration?

I have my doll from the 1950's and every year I try to make her a little something. I still have all the clothes that my mother made for her when I was a little girl. She had outfits to match mine. Flannel nightgown, pretty pink dress, blue corduroy coat. This was started before Christmas, but my machine went on the fritz so we have had to wait until now to finish.

Oh, how sweet! Made me think about my doll from the 50's & wish I still had her - brought back some nice memories of my grandmother making clothes for her on her treadle sewing machine.

This is such a sweet little Christmas quilt for your doll. It's simply amazing to me that you still have her and still sew for her! Lovely story and a way to remember the companionship you and your mother shared all those years ago.
