What was your inspiration?

Practice. I wanted to do a couple of doll quilts for my g-daughters before I quilt and bind a couple of larger tops that I've made. I also wanted to practice doing quilts "on point". My point aren't perfect but I love this little quilt.

What are you most proud of?

I quilted this on the diagonal and then quilted motifs within the lighter squares. It's not perfect but I'm happy with it.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

I used "steam a seam2" iron-on 1/4 in. adhesive to hold down the back of the binding before "stitching in the ditch". I cut the binding 2 1/4" then folded it in half so that when turning to the back it's a finished edge, this is much easier that having to iron up seam allowances. Allso no need to cut your binding "on the bias" because these are straight edges.

Thank you, it's even cuter in person. The binding fabric is "chocolate frosting w/sprinkles" :) You should post some of your quilts.
