I used different patches of black and white patterned fleece on the front and the back is plain black fleece
What was your inspiration?
My daughter has a little nephew who she looks after and she wanted something that was just for him at her house. Her room is all black and white so i choose those two colours. I made a fleece cushion cover with an embroidered dog and the word woof in one corner. the fleece fits into the cover and looks like a black cushion .
What are you most proud of?
I was surprised how big it turned out and pleased with the embroidered face bit. It was great fun to make.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Buy your simplicity patterns when they are half price which they are now ( 07/04/2012) . do a photocopy of the layout and then you can decide and mark on this which material you want for which piece ensuring that no two patterned patches end up abutting.
