What materials did you use? While I was reading Cindy's 2014 edition of "Basic Wholecloth Quilts" I found the section entitled "Divide and Conquer" (p24-25) and found the inspiration to start to design a small wholecloth quilt. I already had a couple of sheets of foam, so cut out some shapes and measured and marked out a cloth at about placemat size. I used Cindy's "Heirloom Backgrounds" to find the patterns to fill the spaces. Little did I know that this would be covered also in this class! So this quilt was done before I attended these lessons. I used: 100% cotton fabric (white), wool batting; Superior Bottom Line (651), titanium needle 80/12.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Just do it! As Cindy says it doesn't have to be perfect!

sm cameron on've done such a wonderful job on this!!! Isn't it just the BEST to be able to divide, conquer and fill??? LOVE what you've done and glad you enjoyed the handbooks as a resource. Good Job! :)

You were very brave to do this project! I imagine it was hard to decide what to put where even on a small piece. Very beautiful.
