I sometimes knit two rows to start and 1 row at the end before casting off. Also I knit 2 rows even before starting decrease rows. These things will make for a better looking dishcloth.

Sugar and Cream cotton yarn. Size 8 needles. Cast on 4 sts. knit 1 row. next row and every row until there are 48 sts. on needle, Knit two, yarn over and knit across . Then, knit 1, knit two together and yarn over, knit two together, knit across. continue with this decrease at the beginning of each row until there are 4 sts. left on needle and bind off.
