What materials did you use? I used a Charm Pack for this project.

What are you most proud of? My reasonably straight seams and joins!

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Pin everything, and watch the final piecing carefully.

Ooh this is gorgeous Lisa.... you have done a completely different take on this block to mine, This is a great block with so many variations.

Yes, so many variations!! I love it!! Yours is gorgeous, I never thought of a cushion, or a smaller pattern!:)

Thanks Lisa, be sure to post your smaller project when you have completed it:)

Finally had time to finish this runner for my mother in law for Christmas!! I bought a bunch of charm packs to start some new projects!!

12/01/2012 Flag

I used some of the "disappearing thread"on some parts of this, doing "the in the ditch" method. After I had used it my sister in law said " you know you can never iron anything that has that"!! So try to use that thread on something you dont plan to iron! I never thought about it till she said that!

So my mom in law loved this runner so much, as I gave it to her for Christmas! She gave me another charm pack, and I am working on the second one!! Love it!

So pleased you mum-in-law loved her hand-made gift... I made my mun a cushion and mug rug which she uses all the time... its great to see our projects being put to good use:)

I am going to try the Mug Rug, I have never done applique before, but this looks like a good start for one!
