This project was made as part of a Craftsy course:
Quilting Quickly: Patterns, Techniques & Tips »

Instructions

Concentrate on how your final piecing is going. It can easily become out of sync! I had sewed 2 rows backwards before I realized it. Had to use the seam ripper, and fix it!
It is very fun, and looks amazing at the end!! Looks very involved, but it was quite easy!

Difficulty:

Category: Quilting

Type of item: Home Decor

For: Women

Style: Romantic

Materials

I used a Charm Pack for this project.

What was your inspiration?

My class! Jenny makes all the projects look so easy, and she has the finished projects in the background, or for us to see. I will put a border on the runner and give it to my mom in law for Christmas. I am also taking machine quilting, so that will be the next class to finish it up!

What are you most proud of?

My reasonably straight seams and joins!

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Pin everything, and watch the final piecing carefully.

I am going to try the Mug Rug, I have never done applique before, but this looks like a good start for one!

I used some of the "disappearing thread"on some parts of this, doing "the in the ditch" method. After I had used it my sister in law said " you know you can never iron anything that has that"!! So try to use that thread on something you dont plan to iron! I never thought about it till she said that!
