What was your inspiration?
My daughter loves the autumn colours in London. Where we live in Queensland, Australia, the trees are all tropical and don't drop their leaves - so it's such a beautiful novelty for her. I offered to make her a quilt in these colours and she absolutely loves it.
What are you most proud of?
This is only my second patchwork and my first attempt at free motion quilting - it turned out great - plenty of stitch length variations - but it has worked out well overall! My daughter thinks I'm amazing - so that is bliss for me!
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Just follow Jenny Doan's instructions and you can't go wrong! Love those nesting seams :-)
