Fat quarters hand selected by my two year old, a small square of coordinating fabric for the applique, light weight fusible interfacing and DTM thread.
What was your inspiration?
I am always making something for thr girls. Tutu's, aprons, dresses and skirts. Ruffles and sparkles galore. I could tell that my youngest was a bit jealous, so this week is dedicated to boys!
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
My husband told me to make it look less like a purse. LOL! So I shortened the handles so that it will be held in the hand rather than over the shoulder. I made mine about 12 inches. But you could totally lengthen the straps or even shorten them a bit more.
