Materials
Diapers (rolled up), Baby blanket, Baby thermal blanket and baby receiving blanket,ribbons, various baby items (small baby powder, lotion, shampoo, etc) pacifiers, "Baby on Board" sign, socks - rolled up as flowers, wash cloths - rolled up as votive candles, baby toys, and a wooden spoon (to hold the Baby on Board sign)
What was your inspiration?
My niece made one at a Baby shower for her sister and then I looked on-line and found a few instructional videos and made one myself for my boss's baby shower. See the link I included - and go to the "Nappy Cake" instructions. If you want me to make you one like this - just let me know...and we can discuss prices.
What are you most proud of?
The way it looks - it came out very nice and many people commented on it. The Mother-to-be loved it!
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Watch the video - shop carefully and take your time making it - it may take a few trys to get it "just right" - but it is not very difficult to make one.
