What was your inspiration?
I had some cute daisies left over from another project and some receiving blankets that I had set aside "just in case". The colors were bright and cheerful. Sure enough without even knowing it when I showed up with this cake it matched the colors of the baby showers and this was used as the centerpiece! I love when that happens! The new mom and everyone loved this "cake"!
This was made for my friend Marnie Hammond.
What are you most proud of?
As I make more and more of these fun projects, I am becoming faster in assembling these cakes. I use no pins and try to make all the items easy for the new mom to disassemble and use (although I get calls days and days later telling me that they don't have the heart to pull it apart!) So Fun!
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
As you assemble your first diaper cake, I promise you that it becomes easier and more fun each time! Go for it!
