Materials
Cotton materials, zipper, 1/4" wide elastic, plastic canvas, fusible fleece, clear vinyl remnant (for front pocket)-I also used it for an inside pocket. I also made a changing pad to go inside the diaper bag - not in the pattern I used 1/2 yd utility cloth and ribbon and binding around the edges. Simplicity pattern #2713
What was your inspiration?
I did not like the plain looking diaper bags I saw in the store and I wanted something special for the Mothers-to-be that I was making these for.
What are you most proud of?
The way they turned out ... each one was unique.
After I made one of these, I was asked to make one for someone - it is the pink & brown one and I think it came out super!
The I made another and it was well received - so I may just make some to sell.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Decide which pattern you want to make and pick out the materials carefully and take the time to read the pattern before starting.
