Yes, it is more expensive, but it makes very very warm hats, cowls and scarves. I don't think I will ever make garments in double knit. Headbands, scarves, smokrings and hats are all I think I'll double knit.

Thanks. Now I am working on the cowl. So far so good. It's going to take me awhile to finish it. Going slowly to prevent mistakes.

Thanks. I finished the cowl and I am designing a hat . I was lucky to be able to take a workshop given by Alasdair at Woolbearers in NJ. I love the very warm hats and scarves I can make by double knitting.
