What was your inspiration?
I wanted to design some simple dresses to donate to a charity in Lusaka, Zambia.
What are you most proud of?
I managed to design about 12 different dresses . Also a group of women got together to make even more dresses to send to Chikumbuso a safe haven for widow, their children and orphans.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
If you're new at sewing, start with a pattern that indicates easy to sew. Also purchase fabric you really like, then have fun.
