What materials did you use? Cotton quilting fabric, calico, cotton batting and cotton backing, Gutermann threads, I made the strips from left over quilting strips from my other projects

What advice would you give someone starting this project? The red spot border fabric I cut at 2.5inches the rest of the strips varied from 1.5inches to 2 inches. This is a great project to use up scraps, just be sure to back each block with calico and be very accurate with your sewing lines, start with the red spot fabric diagonally across the calico and work out to the corners across the diagonal. When joining your completed blocks (24) make sure that your red strips line up! Enjoy making it.
