Light brown crochet cotton, size 10 - 525 yds (480 m); and a size 7 (1.65 mm) steel crochet hook. The optional tassels are created with embroidery floss attached with 6 mm jump rings.
What was your inspiration?
I was so happy with the way the Diamond Medallion Valance came out, I wanted to make a runner to match.
What are you most proud of?
I really liked how this design came out to coordinate with the valance.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
This is a great project for the intermediate crocheter. In addition to detailed instructions, a graph is also provided for reference. The runner is worked from point to point using a modified shell to created the filled square appearance of filet crochet.
The finished size is 11" wide x 41" long from point to point (not including tassels). Instructions are included to increase the length in 11" increments.
