Diamond Anniversary Cake

This is after I fixed the crooked ribbon
The cake table.
Is this your project? Can you share instructions or a pattern with the Craftsy community?

Difficulty:

Category: Cake Decorating

Type of item: Food

For: Other

Style: Mod, Formal / Bridal

Materials

Cake, fondant, stencils, ribbon, real roses, glass diamond.

What was your inspiration?

My grandparents. They had their 60th anniversary in July, and I wanted to do something special for them for their party. The party colors were red, black and white, and the decorations were very elegant-looking, so this is what I came up with.

What are you most proud of?

For my first attempt at stenciling, it's not too bad. But I learned a lot.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Practice first on a technique you've never used. You won't be able to take it back on the real thing!

Very lovely and precise! Do you have a Cricut fondant cutter? Because I can't imagine cutting all that black design out by hand.

Thank you! I do have a Cricut machine, but have been unable as of yet to get the darn thing to work for me! I think I need more practice. :) These were actually stenciled on the cake - my first attempt at stenciling. I learned a lot - and I think I need more practice on this, too! :) Thank you for the compliments.
