Difficulty:

Category: Other

Type of item: Functional

For: Women

Style: Whimsical, Funky, Eco-Friendly

Materials

Raw materials: Wooden Kleenex cover, cigar box, chipboard from the backs of two drawing pads, Lazy Susan bearing Additional supplies: Krylon sealant or DecoArt Triple Thick spray, book cover art from secondhand paperbacks or comic books, Mod Podge or gel medium to serve as glue

What was your inspiration?

Black plastic supply organizers always seem to have the wrong size compartments for what I want to store, so I decided I would figure out a way to make my own and still have it spin.

What are you most proud of?

This is an incredibly versatile project that will work for any sorts of supplies, because you build it (and decorate it) to suit your own needs.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Don't be put off by my difficulty rating! If you aren't comfortable using a drill, you will be happy to know you have to make exactly 8 holes through cheap wood, which means that you'll be done in no time.

Love your Supply Caddy. You did a great job. Thinking I may have to make something similar to keep some of my sewing things next to my sewing machine. Thank you for sharing!

Thanks so much, Patricia! I was thinking it would make a great caddy for sewing tools, so I'm really glad you feel the same way! :)
