What materials did you use? Cotton fabric charm packs and yardage.

What are you most proud of? Next day: Finished Pillow...not my greatest work, but acceptable. So, what am I proud of...that I was able to make soooooo many mistakes and still complete a nice little project! Nothing yet....this pillow block is full of mistakes, it is in fact a mistake itself. My goal is a twin size quilt but since I'm new to the rotary cutter I messed up my very first block...so, "design opportunity", I made it into a pillow. Now I will go practice cutting (and I promise not to revert to scissors!)

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Do like I am, just dive in and try it. Although I "ruined" my first attempt, I was able to make it look decent and turn it into a nice hand made piece. With practice I think I will do better the next time.

Nice pillow. I like the whole idea of pillow to tryout all these new quilt patterns! I think your "mistake" was a great idea!!

Thank you. I am getting better, but i'm sticking with a small project for my second attempt ... A table runner, the top is finished and I'm going to try free motion quilting it. Wish me luck.
