jeans from family and friends - weight changes and growing children along with the plaids from loved old shirts and boxer shorts! I cannot throw anything made of fabric away!
What was your inspiration?
the neat denim quilts from bloggers everywhere.
What are you most proud of?
I actually finished it. This was a bear of a project, taking about a year. Ignored it for months, then cut and sew like wildfire over rainy weekends between other projects. Perhaps I'm most proud of how quickly I can change out a needle after all the broken ones!
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Don't do it unless you enjoy being meticulous about cutting and seam size. I flat slapped this together after realizing I cannot cut a circle consistently, many jeans are full of spandex type fibers and denim is very heavy! I'm typing this smiling, not cursing. It was fun, but never, ever again!
