What was your inspiration?
I wanted to sew something for my twin nieces for Christmas this year. They're 16 and finding something that they would like and wear was key - and I'm hoping this will be it.
What are you most proud of?
It is very well tailored,
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Just do it. I had this sitting around and I kept procrastinating thinking it seemed difficult - but all in all, it wasn't bad, it didn't take forever and the results kind of have me going wow. The lining is cute, and I did a matching piping on the tie belt. I have to make another, but this one I think I'm going to alter the pattern a bit, fuller skirt and collar instead of hood.
