What materials did you use? Old denim jeans; some with spandex for the denim side, 100% cotton fabrics for the top; including one home dec fabric; Waverly's "Marina Piccola", "Tiffany" by Whistler Studios/Windham Fabrics, "Eye Drops" by Tula Pink for Free Spirit/Westminster Fibers, "Escapade" by Anna Fishkin & Monika Ahu for Red Rooster, "Chiffon" by Free Spirit/Westminster Fiber, and "Kaleidoscope" by Northcott Studios. 100% cotton quilting thread. I used Shiva Paintstiks and rubbing plates to paint some of the denim squares.

The sewing is done for this denim rag quilt. You will notice that the clipping to get the rag effect is not done. I have clipped around the whole outer edge... and I'm working on the rows. I only wish I'd realized how much work it was going to be to do all that clipping when I chose the denim and the home dec fabric..... They are a lot harder to clip than the 100% quilting cotton. Plus; it's quite large. My next rag quilt will be a baby quilt I think! LOL.. live and learn! Jenny Doan is a fantastic quilter and an amazing teacher. One day I hope to meet her in person. Go Jenny!
