What materials did you use?
Old denim jeans and scraps from other quilting projects
I love this pattern and what you did with the denim, grand idea. I did see this before and just remembered. I saw it on Love Of Quilting and Liz Porter did this for a child's quilt with cars and such in the center. This is a very easy quilt, because it is a "quilt as you go". Before sewing the circles down on the square, you take them and sew them together on the RIGHT sides together, then fold each on down on the square. You can make your own circle using a plate, then make a square (each of the four corners has to be touching the outer circle. So simple, but absolutely striking when done. The fabric possibilities are endless.
Love this using denim. Amy Gibson's blog (she teaches Craftsy' Free Block of the Month class) has this patten. She did a Baby play mat using this easy technique. You can find it here: http://www.modabakeshop.com/2011/11/cathedral-window-baby-playmat.html Have fun!!
Here's a pattern that was used by a friend of mine. It made a beautiful quilt! http://www.equilters.com/library/jeans/jeans_gallbaros.html
Beautiful work. It such a great idea to use denim.
Very nice. The pattern looks like Cathedral Window. Yes, with the denim it would be very functional. Great job!
