What was your inspiration?
I sew for a the daughter of a co-worker. They go camping alot and I've really wanted to do something "woodsy" like denim lined in red flannel. Now she can look like a mini lumberjack.
What are you most proud of?
These and the jacket that go with them really are adorably cute.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Never use Dritz tack buttons. I thought it would be so cute to use official overalls hardware. However, to attach the tack buttons, you have to hammer a spike through your garment and into the button on the other side. They are miserable. It is not easy to get them in straight and keep the buttons from being damaged by either the hammer or the "firm surface" you are instructed to hammer against. I finally engaged my husband's assistance. His first attempt wasn't stellar either. When these don't go in perfectly (and they won't) they leave larger than expected holes behind. I doused with fray check and am hoping they will last until she grows out of them
