What was your inspiration?
My Inspiration comes from a lot of sources. The most recent inspiration was this course on Craftsy. The other comes from Professional Cake Decorating Books I have picked up along the way. I also got inspired by some of the Dutch Delpht Blue Patterns I came across.
What are you most proud of?
I really enjoyed making the cake and had fun decorating. I feel inspired now to take some drawing and maybe some painting classes.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Take your time to shave the cake properly and to cover it the best you can, as the decorating is the fun part but if you don't do a good job covering the cake, ie with rolled fondant, you will not be happy with the end result.
