Materials

Second hand picture frame, skeletons from the dollar store, a piece of cork board, acrylic paints, painter's tape, silver embossing powder, chip board from the back of a legal pad.

What was your inspiration?

Sarah at WonderStrange Arts created a chalkboard that totally blew my mind using a just picture frame, some paint, and a few garlands of skeletons from the dollar store. I decided to use the same core materials to design a cork board, which I needed more than a chalkboard.

What are you most proud of?

Although I love pretty much anything with two heads, in this case, I think I love the arch at the top of the frame even more. (Sorry, two-headed skellie!)

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

With the exception of the gessoing, this project can be completed in one night. Don't skip the gessoing step, though; just gesso before you go to bed one night and do the project the next.
