Learn It

This project was made as part of a Craftsy course:
Pattern Drafting from Ready-to-Wear »

Instructions

I copied a long sleeve T-shirt, graded it up one size to compensate for the bulky fabric (fleece), added yoke detailing at front and back, center seams on the sleeves to add fringe and a shawl collar.

Difficulty:

Category: Sewing

Type of item: Costume

For: Children

Style: Cute, Outdoorsy

Materials

A blanket from IKEA

What was your inspiration?

I wanted to get the Tandy leather effect.

What are you most proud of?

That I did it.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Go for it!

I'm just considering this class and your project, and your daughter, look great, really creative designing, what experience did you have before the class? I'm thinking artist to be able to visualize those changes and make it happen, or can someone a little more limited learn to do something like this?

Very nice job! Would love to see more examples of pattern copying. Is it hard?
