Daisy Eyelet

Is this your project? Can you share instructions or a pattern with the Craftsy community?

Difficulty:

Category: Jewelry

Type of item: Accessory

For: Women

Style: Romantic, Traditional, Classic

Materials

size 15 seed beads, 4 and 6 mm pearls and 4 mm bicone crystals

What was your inspiration?

My youngest sister's wedding dress was made of white eyelet cotton. I made her jewelry for her and mimicked the pattern in the dress. The wedding was very informal and fun, but she wanted her jewelry to be classic and beautiful.

What are you most proud of?

The fact that I was able to give my sister something that she could not find in any store. It was designed and made just for her for her special day.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

The same advice I would give anybody about any project. Have fun, don't take it too seriously and experiment with different colors, different shapes of beads, and different sizes of beads. Make the piece your own.

Did you use thread or monofiliment?

Thank you. I just made a circle with the smaller pearls then threaded the thread through the bigger one and threaded the ends through the other side of the circle. I am sorry, I am not very good at giving instructions. Half the time I don't even remember how I did things because I just sit down with my beads and let my muse take over. My mom made a pattern for a version of this. You can find it here. http://www.beadpatternsboutique.com/catalog/Daisy_Eyelet_Necklace.html

This is a lovely piece! How did you cluster the beads together to form the flowerettes?
