What was your inspiration?

My brother works for Iowa State.

What are you most proud of?

I did the MATH! Whoever said I'd never use that math I learned in high school never quilted. This was my first t-shirt quilt. I made the "mistake" of cutting the t-shirts before I really thought it through. I added some sashing to a couple of blocks to make them all the same width, but I had a hard time calculating where to put the blocks in order to make each column the same length.

I like that there isn't a lot of blank space on the squares, instead the squares match the t-shirt design.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

It's much easier to make all the blocks the same size, but more interesting if the blocks are different sizes
