How did you do the yellow texture on the fun textured background

12/17/2014 Flag

Hi, if you asking about the mats with a yellow background, the textures are basket weave and a "version" of the Baptist fan. The basket weave is a series of alternating straight lines. The texture surrounding the Baptist fans is free motion embroidery technique. I hope this answers your question. Cheers! :-)

These placemats are scruptious! I would love to set a table with these, perhaps using clear plates so the mat shows through. Quilting part of the mat helps each design have a voice. I like that!

They were really fun to make. What a yummy idea! :-) I love your idea of clear glass plates.
