Cotton fabric and old purchased curtains that needed a re-do!

What was your inspiration?

Saving money.
We had these curtains in my kids' room for years. After getting new curtain rods on clearance, and re-purposing a flannel flat sheet into their new curtains, these curtains waited for new life. With new curtain rods, though, they were now too short. So, I took green fabric I already had, folded it in half and sewed it to the bottom of the existing curtain. Voila!

What are you most proud of?

1. That I finally have curtains after living here for 6 1/2 years!

2. How they look! They make the room seem so cozy and warm now. They finish the look nicely.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Just do it!
Think outside of the box and don't be afraid to make a mistake!
