What was your inspiration?

I wanted to design a bear that was quick to knit up and have options to create your own bear design. This Cuddly Bear pattern has options to chose plain muzzle, paw and foot pads and ear linings. You can choice all or just one or two or just knit him in faux fur throughout. The choice is yours.

Also there is a photographic, step by step construction instructions for my bears, its a free download so please add it to your cart before you check out.

What are you most proud of?

That the knitter can choice what to add or omit with this bear design to create their own bear.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Take your time, enjoy the experience of creating your own special bear. Again, take your time when it comes to constructing your bear, check that limbs are the same size, play with the positioning of the eyes and ears before you fix them in place.

If your bear puts up a fight during the construction, its possible you will fall out of love with him, but leave him over night, look him in the eye in the morning and you will love him, promise ☺

Enjoy your bear!!!

I love all the bears! Could you please tell me the difference between the Huggable Bear, Need a Hug Bear, Big Bear and the Cuddly Bear? I'm trying to decide which pattern to buy and know only that I want the largest sized one. Thanks!

Thank you Dolly. Huggable Bear was my first, he's a tradition size and shape, sits at 8 to 9 inches. Needs a hug Bear is big and fat with big feet and hands, like he has a bit of growing to do. He sits at 10 inches. Cuddly bear is Huggable Bears little brother, very similar in shape but slight smaller, sits approx. 7 inches. Big Bear is knitted with his legs and body in one piece, so can sit and stand, he stands at approx 18 inches, he has a fat tummy and chunky legs.
